Wireless Innovation Forum International Achievement Award
(Replaces the Industry Achievement Award)

- This award is presented to an individual, group of individuals, or organization that made especially significant contributions to international furtherance or acceptance of Software Defined or Cognitive Radio
- Nominations come from the membership.
- Nominees are down selected to a group of finalists by a committee chosen by the Wireless Innovation Forum Board of Directors
- Finalists are announced at least 2 months in advance of SDR’10
- Fees are waived for a single individual from each organization selected as a finalist to attend SDR’10 - Winner is selected by membership
- One vote per organization
Wireless Innovation Forum President’s Award
(Replaces the Contributors Award)
- This Award is presented to individuals in recognition of their sustained outstanding contributions in support of the Wireless Innovation Forum and its activities.
- Nominations are made by the chair and vice chair of the Wireless Innovation Forum
- Nominees are announced at least 2 months in advance of the technical conference
- Fees are waived for a single individual from each organization selected as a finalist to attend the technical conference - Winners are selected by the Forum’s officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Committee Chairs, Treasurer, Secretary, CEO, COO)
Wireless Innovation Forum Technology of the Year

- This award is presented to an individual or organization for a breakthrough product or technology in the field of software defined or cognitive radio as selected by the members.
- Nominations come from the membership.
- Nominees are are down-selected to a group of finalists by a committee chaired by the User Requirements Committee Chair and including the class representatives of the Board (large, medium, small, govt. and academic)
- Finalists are announced at least 2 months in advance of SDR’10
- Fees waived for a single individual from each organization chosen as a finalist to attend the technical conference - Finalists are invited to demo at the technical conference during the Technology Showcase
- Winner is selected by membership through ballot
- One vote per organization
Awards are also made each year to the authors of the top papers from the previous year's Technical Conference, as determined by an independent panel of judges. The list of these papers is available here.
