Stephen Blust - 2002 SDR Forum Contributor Award

Stephen Blust has been a major contributor to the Software Defined Radio Forum since its inception.

He was a founding member, a member of the first Steering Committee, the first Markets Committee Chair, and one of the first Forum Chairs. He has held a leadership position from the inception of the organization through today without a break. This leadership has been instrumental in creating and sustaining the Forum as a vital and growing organization. He has been a liaison to external organizations, where he has been an energetic proponent of the Forum and the technology that it is promoting.

Stephen has made significant contributions to the internal operation of the Forum by providing guidance and thoughtful suggestions regarding the Forum’s philosophy, its future directions, and its operational methods. He has led efforts to develop the Forum’s workplan and he has directed the development of specific work products along with specific contributions. His energy and resourcefulness have improved the effectiveness of the Forum as well as its external image. His seemingly tireless efforts on behalf of the Forum are recognized by all who come in contact with him in this capacity.
